Capstone Project
At Libertas Scholars College Prep, we believe in the power of a Capstone Project to prepare our students for success in higher education and beyond.
A Capstone Project is a requirement for all students to graduate from our school. It is a culmination of their high school experience, allowing them to showcase their knowledge, skills, and creativity in a meaningful way.

01

Capstone Project

A Capstone Project is a research-based project that allows students to explore a topic of their choosing in-depth. Students are given the freedom to choose a topic that interests them and to develop a project that reflects their unique perspective and skills. The project can take many different forms, including a research paper, a scientific experiment, a work of art, a social justice campaign, or a business plan.

02

The significance of a Capstone Project

The significance of a Capstone Project lies in its ability to prepare students for higher education and the workforce. The project requires students to apply critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills to a real-world problem or question. It allows students to develop expertise in an area of their choosing,
demonstrating their ability to work independently and to take ownership of their learning.

In addition, a Capstone Project helps students develop skills in project management, communication, and collaboration. Students are required to work with a faculty advisor and other stakeholders to plan and execute their project. This collaboration fosters teamwork and communication skills that are essential for success.

Furthermore, a Capstone Project provides students with an opportunity to showcase their accomplishments and to create a portfolio of their work. This portfolio can be used for college applications, job interviews, or other opportunities to showcase their skills and accomplishments.
